I put together this year planning template for whomever may be interested. This is the basic structure I use as well, but I know it will change as I gain knowledge and experience.

Year theme 

What do you want to call this year, it can be a phrase or word that encapsulates what you want the year to be for you

Core goals for the year

Spiritual 

• What do you want your spiritual life to look like. Make a clear statement like

Financial 

• Clearly state the amount you want to earn in the year, eg  ”I will make N20m this year”

• Define income vehicle 1, eg Land a job that pays me at least N1m/month

• Define income vehicle 2, eg “Work on 10 freelance projects that will pay at least N1m each”

Health/personal 

• How much workout do you plan to do, what habits do you want to drop or acquire, state that here

Learning

• Define the things you want to learn this year

Q1 Strategy

Define a strategy that you will employ for the next 3 months that will help you achieve your goals. For example, your strategy for meeting your financial target in Q1 could be doing a lot of applications and cold outreaches to prospective clients, then as the quarter comes to a close, you can decide if this strategy works or not, and based on that decision, you can go ahead to update your daily schedule.

Define a daily schedule that will enable you accomplish all the goals on your list.
